Thursday Night Thought – Romney’s Racism, Palestinian Edition

I’m still stuck on Mitt Romney’s repeated assertions that Palestinians are less prosperous than Israelis because of a cultural gap, as opposed to other factors such as, you know, the trade restrictions imposed by the Israelis. Mitt Romney appears to believe that might makes right, and that the rich are rich because they are superior human beings.

So, does Mitt Romney think that Jesus Christ lacked material riches due to a lack of culture?

And how do the police back up Santorum’s best Mussolini impersonation? By tasering protestors, of course. I don’t quite remember that response when the Tea Party was the media darling.

Christianity vs. Capitalism

The Catholic Church has had a few moral lapses of its own, to put it mildly, but it’s interesting whenever anyone points out that Christianity’s fundamental moral tenets are at odds with an economic system that places purchases ahead of people — i.e., Capitalism without constraints.
