Obama Approval

Talking Points Memo has generated an excellent graph correlating President Obama’s approval rate to the political events at the time. The upshot is that his ratings fell when he engaged in the ridiculous debt ceiling fight with Republicans, both of them competing to cut services in a time of great need. His ratings later rose when he chose to fight for a payroll tax cut.
