Bush Doesn’t Want Fame or Power

I have no desire for fame and power anymore.

Mr. Bush gained the wisdom to state
He’s beyond any need to be great,
That it’s not his life’s aim
To grab power or fame–
Just a couple of decades too late.
Unfortunately, the fame he gained (a term easily exchanged with infamy in his case) will remain. He left a legacy so unfortunate that I can certainly understand his wish to fade from the spotlight, though.
Yes. This zen state is a pretty weak pretense. Then again, he does a good job of appearing oblivious about the kind of fame he has.
