Are you interested in BritWit? Fond of John Oliver’s antics on The Daily Show? Or just looking for a new podcast to check out? You might be interested in The Bugle.

In Episode 198: “Warm up and melt down,” Oliver and his companions take a look at many matters, including Florida Governor Rick Scott’s attempts to purge democracy Democrats.
OLIVER: Let me bring you up to speed. Florida is basically where America’s grandparents and its democracy go to die. The current governor of Florida is involved in a controversial attempt to purge the electoral voter rolls in a move that many people believe to be politically motivated, due to the fact that it is.
Of course it is. There is no notable voter fraud occuring in Florida. The Republican mayor of Miami, Tomás Regalado, points out why the myth of undocumented workers voting in elections is, you know, a myth:
REGALDO: You know, nobody’s out to defraud the system in the United States by being a – what do you gain? You don’t gain nothing by voting, not being a citizen.
Republican officials pushing for the purge know that. But they also know that Republicans gain a lot by scaring away the poor and the people of color from the polls.
