Brought to my attention by 0dyyseus, this video shows some Kenyan kids reenacting that famed moment from the 1986 World Series between the Red Sox and the Mets. You know, when the ball bounced through Bill Buckner’s legs.


The failures of 1986 and 2003 taught Red Sox fans the importance of a smart manager. So why did the championships of 2004 and 2007 teach Red Sox ownership to hire Bobby Valentine? I don’t get it…

TV in Review: Doctor Who, “42″

So the premise of “42″ is clever. We learn quite quickly that the characters have 42 minutes before crashing into the sun, which means that we’re in for a “real time” episode in a series known for breaking the rules of time. Of course, you can’t break the rules of network time, as those may be stronger than the laws of physics. 42 minutes it is, with some good old-fashioned sci-fi. Look! Spaceships!
