Friday Night Video – Youth Against Alan Simpson

Former Senator Alan Simpson accuses opponents of his drive to cut Social Security of blather and drivel. I’ve written before of my strong belief that not only should Social Security be saved, but it should be expanded, as obviously private industry is incapable of taking care of America’s elderly. It’s heartening to see some young people standing up to him and standing up for Social Security, and their focus on facts and reason is a good counterpoint to Simpson’s hysteria.

Simpson has actually accepted the debate challenge from Social Security Works. I’d encourage you to sign their petition to the AARP.
