Monday Night iPhone Photo – Creepy Window Dressing

Creepy window display in a storefront found on Claremont Ave, in Berkeley. I can’t even recall what the store is selling.

  1. Yep, creepy alright.

I think I would be compelled to enter that store based solely on the window display. Creeped out, yes, but compelled none the less.

    • Matthew says:

Definitely compelling. And it’s bothering the hell out of me that I can’t remember which store it was. I have relatives near it, so I’ll have to check next time I visit.

  3. It’s not creepy, it’s rather sweet! Maybe, the English see things differently sometimes.

    • Matthew says:

Really? You don’t even find it halfway between, like creet or sweepy? I guess we do have our differences!

      • No, it just seemed sort of from the past. I really liked it and would go into the shop straight away. Saying that I live in an old house next to a church built in the 1500s. My study looks over the graveyard. Perhaps it’s what we get used to.

        • Matthew says:

Oh, I can definitely understand wanting to go inside, and I would have, if the shop had been open.

My parents tend to live next to graveyards. I remember playing hide-and-seek in the cemetery next to the house I first knew, when I must have been four.

          • I think that as a child of four, you didn’t understand that there were dead people in the ground and so that wasn’t spooky to you. Strangely, dolls are spooky to little kids but seem to be to lots of adults. I think it is the images which hide in the mind from horror films. Have you seen La Isla de las Munecas – if you haven’t – it’s a place in Mexico which has many dolls, in all states, hanging up. Lots of people find that really spooky. To me, it is lots of dolls which need care and love. Again, I think many people have horror movie images firmly imprinted on their minds. I know I have – but strangely enough – not of dolls.

  4. It is different. go on…
