I had heard about Joe Eszterhas slamming Mel Gibson for being a deranged, out-of-control anti-Semite, but really, is that news? Then Eszterhas released some audio of Gibson’s rants, and I thought, wow, this is really bad audio for someone involved with the professional Hollywood production known as F.I.S.T. There is a transcript over at TheWrap, but for me the only quality moment is around 1:36, when Gibson yells…

60 Second Movie Review: The Hunger Games (2012)

After finally finishing The Hunger Games book — remember books? — I allowed myself to visit the Cinemark Century Theatres in Redwood City in order to see the film. At 3 o’clock on a Thursday afternoon, no less. Because I’m a rebel.
