Where does Fox Find Its F#cking Liberals?

Did you see Bob Beckel on Monday, dropping an F-bomb on Hannity?
Of course, there are numerous reasons to curse like a sailor on that show and I don’t need smelling salts to recover my nerves every time a pundit swears. What I’m wondering is, where does Fox find its f#cking liberals? Bob Beckel struggles to comprehend the notion of live television and in the process makes Sean Hannity look like an intelligent human being. Actually, Beckel must be a savant of sorts — the idiot kind — to manage that.
Of course, the answer to where Fox finds its f#cking liberals is that they’re finding exactly the kind of clowns they want. Howard Stern broke it down on his radio show yesterday, talking about Beckel’s role as the supposed liberal voice on Fox’s show The Five.
STERN: You know that if they hire you to be the liberal voice on Fox, you’re the shithead of shitheads. Would they hire Rachel Maddow to be on that show? No way. Because Rachel Maddow would slay those people at that table. She would just take apart every argument in such a brilliant fashion. She’s a Rhodes Scholar. Bob Beckel’s a failed campaign manager. They found Walter Mondale’s campaign manager to be the liberal voice….If Roger Ailes chooses you as the liberal on any of these TV shows, just know you’re the worst liberal ever.
I’m glad to hear that Stern’s admiration from Maddow didn’t ebb after she visited him in the studio. (And as much as I dislike Tucker Carlson, I give him credit as the one who first gave Maddow a seat at the table on MSNBC.)
I doubt that a liberal that intelligent and incisive would be allowed onto a Fox show, but it’d be interesting to watch. Hell, it could be f#cking fun.
Oh, that clip was priceless! Yeah, it definitely takes a special kind of person to make Hannity look like the smart one at the table. And as you pointed, out, that’s the whole point. Of course they’d never invite someone like Rachel Maddow! And yet, Maddow’s constantly – CONSTANTLY! – begging, on air, for Republicans and conservatives to be on her show. She is happy to take on anyone who’s willing to be there, and how many have actually accepted that open invitation? I think I can count them on one hand. What cowards.
Plus, it’s not like Maddow talks over her guests or berates them like a Bill O’Reilly. She gives them plenty of time to speak, which only leads them into more trouble, and I guess they know that.
Exactly. It’s almost too easy – like shooting fish in a barrel. They do half the work on their own.
And that’s called “The Great American Panel”. Wow. Speechless.
I can’t watch Fox in real life. It just makes me angry ; )
Reading some of the conservative reactions to Beckel is interesting, as they’re calling for Fox to fire him, as if Fox didn’t hire a clown on purpose.
