Thursday Night Video – Keith Olbermann visits David Letterman

In case you missed it, here’s Keith Olbermann spending fourteen minutes with David Letterman on Tuesday, explaining his departure from Current TV. I like Keith. I like that he bucked the pressure and put a progressive voice out there on MSNBC when it wasn’t the safe thing to do. I like his sense of humor. I understand he has a big head in both a literal and figurative sense and I prefer the scalpel-like insight of Rachel Maddow to Olbermann’s blunderbuss bluster, but I figure the left needs some melodramatic pundits, too. We can’t abdicate entertainment to the other side (so long as we stay good on the facts). And who knew they were having a tussle over the car service?

It’s a new week, and Stephen Colbert’s mind turns to thoughts of government regulation. This includes air pollution and food pollution.

Everybody knows, liberals have a long history of slandering good American industries with hurtful names. Sure, these days everybody hates “air pollution”, but when I was a kid, we celebrated it as “bonus clouds”.

The Daily Show on Ethnic Studies and Strip Searches

MONDAY (April 2, 2012)
In what can only be understood as an attempt to enact a dystopian dream out of a Ray Bradbury novel, the Tucson Schoolboard banned K-12 Mexican-American Studies program. School board member Michael Hicks claimed that these programs were preaching violence against whites. How does he know? Well, let’s listen to his own claims.

HICKS: I chose not to go to any of their classes. Why even go? Why even go? I based my thoughts on hearsay from others.
