Santorum’s Outrage

Rick Santorum’s outrage this week — outrage! — that people are connecting him to the outrageous comments about birth control made by his backer Foster Friess misses the point.

It’s not the comment on its own. The Friess connection has resonance because Santorum has outrageous stands on birth control.

And does anyone else find it awkward that, in order to get past Friess’s comments that women should just put an aspirin between their knees if they want access to birth control, Santorum said, of his campaign:

We have to go out there and keep pounding away.

That dude has some unresolved issues.
