Tuesday Night iPhone Photos – Posts, Posts, Everywhere

I took another hike in the Palo Alto Baylands this past weekend, and took some puzzling photos of posts.

First there are these posts on a hill, like telephone poles cut down low, and I’m wondering what they’re for. It must have something to do with the municipal airport next door, right?

And then there’s this post with a warning. The way my brain works, I like to think that it’s an order, as in “you are hereby commanded to witness this post.” Does this have to do with bird-watching?

I know so little about the world around me…

I like thinking that it’s a magical “witness post” that watches and reports on those who dare to disturb “Nearby.” I also like thinking that “Nearby” is a land of Narnian wonder.

  3. That’s really odd…
