My delicious lunch today at a Mexican restaurante in Berkeley was delayed because my car’s rear right tire blew out just about here on I-80. According to my phone, I was exactly two miles away from the restaurant as well as the friend whose arm is shown in this pic, rushing toward the glass of water like a landspeeder.

I think the not quite made enough point about these types of laws is that they’re really not about stemming piracy, they’re about big media companies declaring that the internet is ours now, bitches!

It’s probably been more than twenty-five years since I read The Star-Spangled Girl. It’s a good candidate for Neil Simon’s weakest play, but there’s a joke in it that I’ve remembered all this time and enjoyed thinking about frequently.
