Newly Discovered Planet

Speaking of which, have you seen Lars Von Trier’s Melancholia? I haven’t been able to watch any of his films since I saw Breaking The Waves, because that was a tad devastating. Melancholia is only tinged with pain. Some viewers asked why it had to be a planet rather than a more realistic asteroid, but I think that some of it is part of that age-old question of the planets impacting our moods.

The banks appear to have engaged in massive fraud. In a country obsessed with the dangers of petty criminals, we are not going to prosecute, let alone reform the system. Wake me when there’s a show as tough on the real damage being done to the country as hard-hitting and widely promoted as Cops.
